Registration Agreement
- Registration means enrolment;
- By accepting these terms the participant agrees to pay the Course fees (including GST) for the Course using the payment method selected on the registration page;
- The participant accepts that he/she is required to pay the full amount of the Course fees even if he/she does not complete the Course;
- If the participant is under 18, the parent/guardian is responsible for the payment of the Course Fees;
- The approximate duration of the Course is stated on the course page;
- Course commencement is the date upon which we receive your course fees in full’
- Complimentary offer of 30 days “Ask, All You Can” commencement is the date upon which the participant completes the course. ;
- Participants are unable to receive Certificate of Completion for their course until course fees have been paid in full and quizzes been passed successfully; and
- By completion of registration for each course, the participant confirms that he/she has read these Terms and Conditions, Disclaimer, Copyright and Privacy Policy.
Online Course Registration
- Course registration is complete when the participant has been issued a username and password for online course access;
- Course duration is effective from the date course access;
- Course commencement is effective from the date course access is granted;
- Special offer coupon codes cannot be added to a registration retrospectively and must be added at the time of registration;
- Discount for group registration available upon application; and
- Course fees are non-transferable to other people.
Online Course Materials Access
- Course Materials are supplied in an online environment, unless otherwise stated in the course description, and are available for viewing online and may not be downloaded;
- The content of the online Course Materials, including copyright and all other such intellectual property rights contained therein, remain the property of Risk College International. You may not reproduce any part of the online Course Materials, including case studies, without the prior written consent of Risk College International;
- Course materials and course content are subject to change;
- Course materials are provided online via our Learning Management System (LMS) 24/7 or via alternative means. The e-Learning site may occasionally be unavailable during scheduled maintenance. In the event that our e-Learning system becomes unavailable, course materials will be provided by another mode of delivery;
- Topic/unit/subject descriptions located within our e-Learning system or course material are for internal purposes only and do not appear on graduate certificates and/or unit/subject transcripts;
- Additional homework and/or independent study/research beyond the course materials may be required to complete the assessment successfully;
- All assessment must be submitted online via our e-Learning system;
- Custom designed courses will be developed and available upon application (fees apply);
- E-Learning access may be suspended after 2 months of inactivity; and
- 12 months’ or unlimited course materials access, with extensions available upon application (fees apply).
Online Course Withdrawal and Refunds
Risk College International complies with Australian Consumer Law in regard to refunds. We are not required to provide a refund if you change your mind about the course that you chose to register/enrol into.
However, while course fees are non-refundable, students may have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from undertaking their course. Where evidence can be successfully provided to support the student’s circumstances, course fees may be refunded or partially refunded as per the following:
- A full refund is permitted if the registration/enrolment is cancelled prior to the commencement date and if access to resources has not been provided yet.
- A 50% refund is permitted if the registration/enrolment is cancelled within 7 days of the course commencement date.
- No refund will be provided after 7 days of the course commencement date.
- No refund will be provided where work, assessment or Certificate of Completion has been saved, submitted or provided.
This decision of assessing the extenuating circumstances rests with the Risk College International and shall be assessed on a case by case situation.
Credit Voucher/Coupon Code Policy
All credit vouchers/discount coupons have the following conditions of use:
- Not redeemable for cash;
- Valid for one (1) use only;
- Coupon codes cannot be added retroactively; coupon codes must be used at the checkout;
- Coupons/vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with other coupons/credit vouchers;
- Coupons/vouchers cannot be used to order printed materials; and
- Coupon code can only be used in the time frame specified in the special offer.
Confidentiality and Privacy Policy
Risk College International will make reasonable efforts to keep any such information that we have about you secure and to ensure that any of our employees or agents who have access to information about you do not make any unauthorised use, modification, reproduction or disclosure of that information. The Risk College International site does not store any credit card information it may receive in regard to a specific transaction and/or billing arrangement except as necessary to complete and satisfy its rights and obligations with regard to such transaction, billing arrangement, and/or as otherwise authorized by a user.
We will only disclose information that we have about you:
- to the extent specifically required by law; or
- for the purposes of this agreement (including disclosing information in connection with any query or claim)
- information provided by you is considered confidential and will not be divulged to any third party, nor will it be sold.
Upon registration/enrolment into the online course, we may subscribe you in our mail list and use the content from your emails in our marketing materials and on our website testimonials page, as well as send you our marketing material , including newsletters, exclusive offers, discounts or survey. Your identity will never be revealed, however we will use your initials and your City. Please be assured that we respect your privacy and only comments related to course outcomes and student experiences will be mentioned.
Please also note that third-parties who provide and/or publish content via the Risk College International shall be deemed the data controllers for any personal data contained in the content uploaded by any such party to the Company (“Third-Party Content”) and any other personal data processed in relation to such Third-Party Content. This privacy policy only concerns the processing for which the Company is data controller. If you have any questions regarding personal data contained in the Third-Party Content, please contact the third-party provider responsible for such Third Party Content.
Risk College International recognizes the special obligation to protect personally identifiable information obtained from children age 16 and under. As such, if you are 16 years old or younger, the Risk College International requests that you do not submit any personal information to the site or to the Risk College International and please discuss the process with your parent’s or guardian. If the Risk College International discovers that a child age 16 or younger has signed up on the site or provided us with personally identifiable information, we will delete that child’s identifiable information from our records.
Risk College International Code of Practice
Risk College International was formed in 2019 as a place for like-minded people for sharing views, knowledge and experiences in their pastime, to support the individuals, organisation and public to meet growing demand for practical applications of risk engineering and risk based decision making. Neither the website owner nor any other party involved in creating, producing, or maintaining the site and/or any content on the site, including its training material, shall be liable under any circumstances for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect, or punitive damages arising out of your access or use of the site or its material. Without limiting the foregoing, all content on the site and its training materials are provided as general knowledge and ‘as is’ without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Risk College International does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use of the materials in the site, the results of the use of such materials, the suitability of such materials for any user’s needs or the likelihood that their use will meet any user’s expectations, or their correctness, accuracy, reliability, or correction. You accept all responsibility for evaluating your own earning potential as well as executing your own business and services. Your career path and earning potential is entirely dependent on your own products, ideas, techniques; your execution of your business plan; the time you devote to the program, ideas and techniques offered and utilized; as well as your finances, your knowledge and your skill.
Risk College International has responsibilities to you as a student to provide you with a quality of information that will assist you as much as possible in attaining your professional development and certificate of completion. We undertake to abide by all our policies and procedures. In no event shall the Risk College International be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, punitive, reliance or consequential damages, whether foreseeable or not, including, but not limited to, damage or loss of property, equipment, information or data, loss of profits, revenue or goodwill, cost of capital, cost of replacement services, or claims for service interruptions or transmission problems, occasioned by any defect in the site, the content, and/or related materials, the inability to use services and/or material provided hereunder or any other cause whatsoever with respect thereto, regardless of theory of liability. This limitation will apply even if the Risk College International has been advised or is aware of the possibility of such damages.
Risk College International agrees to:
- Provide a tax invoice, if required;
- Provide login details to access the online Course Materials (or alternative access) and mark assessments and provide feedback where applicable on submitted assessment tasks;
- Provide unlimited tutor support via email throughout the registration/enrolment;
- Provide unlimited tutor support via email from completion of course up to 30 days;
- Issue a Certificate of Completion upon satisfactory completion of the course (if applicable). We will provide clients with the results of their assessment at completion of the course. Certificate of Completion (electronic) will be issued immediately after successful completion of the course.
Student Obligations
Students with Risk College International are required to:
- Ensure that all the information provided to Risk College International is accurate;
- Notify Risk College International of any contact changes (email, telephone, address etc.);
- Advise Risk College International of any difficulties or problems they may experience with Risk College International staff, procedures or training;
- Achieve satisfactory progress with their studies through participation and completion of the course material and supporting documents;
- NOT submit or claim as their own, work derived from other source or work completed by another person. Students found copying and pasting content directly from the Internet will be in breach of these terms and conditions and registration/enrolment in the course will be cancelled. Re-registration/enrolment into the course will be required – charges will apply.
- In your interaction with Risk College International staff, advisors, learning consultants and tutor support (including, but not limited to telephone calls, emails and instant chats) you agree to conduct yourself civilly and respectfully at all times. As a customer or student of Risk College International, you agree that you shall not, under any circumstances, use abusive language or harass staff. Risk College International reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, what constitutes abusive language and harassment, and where that has occurred; and may, partially or completely, deny service to any infringing party
- You agree to indemnify and hold the Risk College International and each of its advisors, harmless from any and all liabilities, claims, damages and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or relating to (i) your breach of this Agreement, (ii) any violation by you of law or the rights of any third party, (iii) any materials, information, works and/or other content of whatever nature or media that you post or share on or through the Site, (iv) your use of the Site or any services or training material that the Risk College International may provide via the Site, and (v) your conduct in connection with the Site or the services or with other users of the Site or the services. The Risk College International reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense of any claim for which we are entitled to indemnification under this Section. In such event, you shall provide the Risk College International with such cooperation as is reasonably requested by the Risk College International.
- You agree that the site itself, as well as all content, videos, training materials, products, services and/or other materials, made available on the site by Risk College International or other third parties, as well as the look and feel of all of the foregoing, (collectively referred to as the “Content”) are maintained for your personal use and information by Risk College International and are the property of the Risk College International and/or its third party providers. No content may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, distributed, used for public or commercial purposes, or downloaded in any way unless written permission is expressly granted by the Risk College International. Modification of the Content or use of the Content for any other purpose is a violation of the copyright and other proprietary rights of the Company, as well as other authors who created the materials, and may be subject to monetary damages and penalties.
These Terms and Conditions of Use may be revised from time to time by updating this posting. You are bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the then current Terms and Conditions of Use to which you are bound.
